A new year…a new online resource!
PRC is proud to unveil its brand-new website in time for the start of a new year. The site has been refreshed to be not only more visually appealing but to focus on the needs of professionals – and now caregivers, as well.
The new prentrom.com has been updated to include a section specifically geared to parents and caregivers unfamiliar with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). The Caregiver Resource Center was designed to serve as a source of information for those who may have questions on what AAC entails, devices, how to get started, funding questions and more.
“The website has always been a valuable resource for speech-language pathologists and other professionals,” said CEO Dave Moffatt. “Our goal is to make our site an equally valuable resource for those who are unfamiliar with AAC, and how it opens up new worlds for those with communication challenges.”
However, while the initial work may be completed, there’s more to come, cautions Moffatt.
“As with any website, it’s a living thing,” he said.
Plans for the future include additional information on devices and language systems, videos, articles, funding sources, implementation resources and more. “We are committed to serving as a trusted resource for our professionals and our families” said Moffatt.
Visitors are encouraged to visit the site and offer feedback to marketing@prentrom.com, he said. Those with specific questions are invited to find their local PRC Consultant for answers and additional information.
