Amanda has been a state licensed and ASHA certified speech language pathologist since 2019. She received her Bachelor of Science in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from Middle Tennessee State University and was awarded her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Western Kentucky University. Amanda’s interest for Augmentative and Alternative Communication began when she served as the graduate SLP for the AAC group working with adults with Down syndrome located in South Central Kentucky. Her interest soon turned to enthusiasm and passion when working in private practice with a caseload focusing primarily on serving children using AAC. She has since given faculty in-service trainings and worked one-on-one with co-workers to help provide optimal therapeutic intervention for those using AAC. Amanda is a vendor in her local Farmer’s Market and enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling and with her loved ones.
